Mayor Jon Mitchell Announces Endorsement of Rep. Ed Markey
Charlestown, Massachusetts – Mayor Jon Mitchell officially endorsed Ed Markey for the United States Senate at the New Bedford canvass kick-off, praising Rep. Markey’s commitment to creating opportunities for the South Coast region and standing up for working families.
“Ed Markey recognizes the tremendous potential of New Bedford and the South Coast and the importance of continued federal investment to help the city and region realize that potential,” said Mayor Jon Mitchell. On issues from offshore wind energy development to education to transportation infrastructure, his priorities are our priorities. That’s why we need him in the Senate, and that’s why I am supporting him today.”
