Medford, MA – Rep. Ed Markey (D-Malden) today applauded Governor Deval Patrick for his choice of William “Mo” Cowan to fill John Kerry’s Senate seat until a special election is held in June.
“I applaud Governor Patrick for his choice of William ‘Mo’ Cowan as interim U.S. Senator. I know Mo personally and am confident he will continue the great work of John Kerry and stand up for the values of Massachusetts voters. Mo has a distinguished career, loyally serving the Commonwealth with distinction at various levels of government and I know the people of Massachusetts will be well served by this choice.
