Medford, MA – Today, Reps. Ed Markey (D-Malden) and Stephen Lynch (D-South Boston) signed the People’s Pledge, committing to keep outside group-funded ads out of the Massachusetts Senate campaign. The Democratic congressmen challenged any GOP candidates to do the same. The 2012 Senate campaign was able to avoid the effects of outside negative advertising when both candidates agreed to an enforceable plan.
