Boston Herald — Markey: GOP should agree to “people’s pledge” deal
Democratic Congressman Edward Markey is calling on Republican candidates in the special U.S. Senate election to agree to limit outside political ads.
Markey and fellow Democratic candidate U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch have agreed to a so-called “people’s pledge” to discourage radio, television and internet ads by outside groups. The deal also applies to political mailings.
