Ed Markey, Democrat Congressman Markey has been advocating for the LGBT community for over 30 years. In 1996 he was one of the few members of Congress who voted against the Defense of Marriage Act. He is has co-sponsored many bills, including anti-bullying measures to transgender-inclusive employment protections to support for bi-national same-sex couples.
