Repeal DOMA

In 1996, Congress passed the so-called Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) which said that in the eyes of the federal government, marriage between a same-sex couple is somehow less than marriage between a man and a woman.

DOMA is nothing more than institutionalized discrimination. Ed voted against the law back in 1996. Today, Ed is urging his colleagues to repeal DOMA — and he needs your support.

Join Ed in calling on Congress to repeal DOMA!

Members of the House & Senate:

The Defense of Marriage Act is nothing more than institutionalized discrimination.

Our LGBT brothers and sisters deserve marriage equality. And they deserve recognition by their government.

I urge you to repeal DOMA immediately.

Sincerely,
