Demand Congress Take Action to Reduce Gun Violence

We’re losing more than 30,000 American lives a year to the epidemic of gun violence.

President Obama’s actions are an encouraging first step. But that’s all they are — a first step. In order to make a real impact in reducing gun violence, Congress needs to step up.

For too many years, Republicans in Congress have been too afraid of the NRA’s influence in elections to take even the most commonsense steps to curb gun violence in America. It’s time for that to change.
