Make America the Leader on Climate Change

To Climate Deniers in Congress:

Climate change is not only happening, it is accelerating. As one of the world’s largest emitters of carbon dioxide, we have a moral responsibility to take the lead on addressing this issue.

The President’s Clean Power Plan is an excellent step in the right direction, but it is only a first step. I am joining Senator Ed Markey in calling on Congress to make America the leader in combating climate change, and to do it now.

Science has given us the wisdom to know that we can make a difference on climate change. Now, we must show the courage to act.
