Ed is committed to honoring the sacrifices of our veterans and ensuring we do everything possible as a nation to support them when they return from service.
Last year, Ed introduced the Veterans Jobs Corps Act, which ensures our veterans have job opportunities as they transition back to civilian life. Ed supports increased funding for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to cut its backlog, improve and renovate its facilities.
Ed has worked to make sure veterans and their families get the benefits they deserve. In response to the experiences of a constituent from Winthrop, Ed authored legislation, the Crosby-Puller Combat Wounds Compensation Act, to ensure that service members wounded in the combat zone will not suffer a pay cut while they recover from their wounds in the hospital.
Ed Markey will continue the fight to ensure that veterans get the benefits and support they have earned by their service.
